Fishery Rules

General

  • All juniors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Strictly no night fishing.
  • Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • All anglers must have a valid EA rod license.
  • No keep nets to be used except during authorised matches.
  • Maximum of two rods per peg.
  • Barbless hooks only.
  • Maximum hook size 12.
  • No braided lines or hook lengths.
  • In line / free running method feeders, feeders or bombs must be used.
  • No magnet fishing.
  • No tin cans on the bank.
  • Anyone caught standing up with fish at any time or leaving them out of the water for too long for photographs, etc will receive an instant ban.
  • All fish over 6oz must be landed using a net.

Bait

  • No nuts.
  • No Cat / Dog food.
  • No bloodworm or joker.
  • No floating baits or surface fishing.
  • No artificial baits, including fake sweetcorn, etc.
  • No luncheon meat.
  • Ground bait may be used with a 2kg limit, must be introduced by pole cup or feeder.
  • Bread can be used (not floating).

Matches

  • Barbless hooks only
  • Maximum hook size 12.
  • Above bait bans apply.
  • In line / free running method feeders, feeders or bombs must be used.
  • Two keep nets or more must be used from the start of all matches.
  • All keep nets to be placed on the bank behind your peg on arrival to your peg, they can be placed in the water 10 minutes before all in.
  • 60lb per keepnet limit, split fish equal. Anyone breaching these rules by going over will only be weighed at 60lb and anyone breaching by 10lb+ will have their full net deducted from their weigh in.
  • Match organiser / official verdicts are final.
